Hungry Runner Update: October 2017

The end of the racing season is approaching quickly, not many of us have race plans for November and December. It will soon be time to take some weeks off and recover from 2017. Luckily 2018 season will come quickly, so lets make plans!

This month we had great results:

Hungry Runners shined at Blackall 100km and 50km ultra trail (21/10), despite the heavy rain and the course change everyone was all smiles.

100km:

Daniel finished 3rd in only 10hr36, believe it or not, it was his first ultra!

50km:

Michael finished fifth in 4hr21, he even added 1km taking a wrong turn.

Kim finished 30th female in 6hr45, good race pacing led to this great result.

Lynn did her first 50km ultra with great style, finishing in 6hr56 and ranking 38 female.

A warm day for Outer Limits Paluma trail run (29/10), in the middle of the rain forest this course is tough, to make it harder it felt like a warm summer day!

10km:

Janelle finished in 2hr03 and ranked 10th female

20km:

Lisa got 3rd female finishing in 2hr36, great effort and great come back after injury!

Steve finished 36 overall in 3hr18, very well managed race.

Matt representing Canada got hit by by the heat, finishing in 3hr48 with determination as energy. This race does not reflect his progression of the last 2 months.

At the Melbourne Half Marathon, Rebecca ran in 2hr34, she had a great day!

Bernie smashed her PB at the Great Barrier Reef running festival 10km finishing in 53:39, great run!

And congratulations to all those that participated in the Dam Dark 12hr moutain bike event, Reyn, Andy, Max, Me ;). Whit a special mention to Max that rode most of the 12hr and cumulated 114km on the bike!

Have a great November!
